Due to his passion for running, Wendelin Lauxen,
the initiator and founder of this project,
has already run marathons on all 7 continents.

The reason of the run:

His big sympathy to the United Arab Emirates has induced him to initiate
a run for charity to help needy children who suffer from deformities or amputations, according 
with the motto:

"Run to help children back on their feet“

The Desert Dames are an all-ladies team  participating as a relay in the 7Emirates Run.

The full distance Team run the 575 kilometers across the UAE in 12 days.

A  team of 7 runners will run 575 kilometers to raise funds to help children back on their feet.
